Your TicketingHub invoices and payouts
The words invoice and payout can refer to different parts of a sale. Identifying who owes whom will help you find the right record and reconcile your accounts.
Customer invoices and receipts
A customer invoice belongs to an order that has an outstanding balance, such as a deposit or provisional order. It shows what the customer has paid and what remains due.
When a standard order is paid in full, TicketingHub can send the customer a receipt if receipt emails are enabled. These documents describe the customer’s purchase; they are not bills from TicketingHub to your business.
See Confirming an order that is not fully paid for the differences between standard, deposit and provisional orders.
Reseller invoices
A reseller invoice records money a credit-account reseller owes your business for bookings made during an invoice period.
To review these invoices:
- Go to Resellers.
- Open the reseller.
- Review the Invoices and Paid Invoices sections.
- Mark an invoice as paid only after you have received the reseller’s payment.
A reseller invoice is separate from both customer payment documents and TicketingHub’s fees.
TicketingHub platform fees
TicketingHub platform fees are the charges for using TicketingHub. They are separate from the processing fees charged by Stripe, PayPal or another payment provider.
Depending on your payment setup, TicketingHub fees may be deducted automatically or billed separately. Your TicketingHub fee record is therefore not the same as a payment-provider payout.
You can review your platform fee rate under Settings → General → TicketingHub Fees. Contact TicketingHub support if you need a copy of a TicketingHub billing document or help matching a charge.
Payment-provider payouts
A payout is money sent by your payment provider to your bank account. Stripe, PayPal and other providers control the payout schedule, bank destination, processing fees and payout statement.
Review payouts in your payment provider’s dashboard. TicketingHub order totals may not match one payout exactly because a payout can combine several payments and include processing fees, refunds or adjustments.
A simple way to reconcile
- Use TicketingHub orders and transaction reports to identify sales, payments and refunds.
- Use reseller invoices to track amounts owed by credit-account resellers.
- Use your payment provider’s payout report to match money deposited into your bank account.
- Record TicketingHub platform fees and payment-provider fees separately.
