How to request payments via a payment request link
Let’s be honest: nobody wants to read out their card details over the phone. Keeping payments smooth and secure is essential, which is where TicketingHub’s Payment Request Link feature comes in.
This guide is ideal for tour and activity operators who want to simplify the payment process. It explains how to send customers a secure payment link by email, allowing them to pay safely and conveniently at their own pace. It is particularly useful when a customer does not want to provide their card details over the phone.
Important: A manually created booking stays Pending until it has a payment, is marked as a Provisional Order, or has a Payment Request link. Adding a payment request moves the order to Payment Requested while the customer pays. Tickets are sent after payment. If you need to confirm the booking before any payment is taken, mark the order as provisional instead — see How to use provisional invoices for bookings.

Note: This action generates a secure payment link that can be emailed directly to the customer. The order status changes from Pending to Payment Requested. The customer receives their tickets after the order has been paid. If you need to confirm the booking without waiting for payment, mark the order as a Provisional Order instead.
