How to Set Ticket Cut-off Times

Cut-off times stop new online bookings a set period before an event starts. TicketingHub provides two product-wide cut-offs so you can use different rules before and after the first booking.

Set the Product-wide Cut-offs

  1. Open the product.
  2. Go to Settings → Ticket Availability Cut-off.
  3. Set Cut-off time when no bookings.
  4. Set Cut-off time after the first booking.
  5. Select Update.

Both fields support minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. Cut-offs are calculated using the product timezone.

How the Two Cut-offs Work

Cut-off time when no bookings applies while the event has no bookings. Use it when you need more preparation time before deciding whether an event can run.

Cut-off time after the first booking applies once the event has a booking. Use it to control how close to the start time additional customers can book.

For example, set the no-bookings cut-off to 48 hours and the after-first-booking cut-off to 2 hours. If nobody has booked, sales stop 48 hours before the event. If the first booking was made before that point, additional bookings can continue until 2 hours before the event.

Product Cut-offs Versus Ticket-level Notice

The two settings above apply across the product’s tickets for the event. A ticket can also have its own timing:

  1. Go to Product → Tickets.
  2. Edit the ticket and open Advanced Settings.
  3. Set Notice to control when that ticket type becomes unavailable.

A ticket-level notice affects only that ticket type. Use it for a ticket that should close earlier than the rest, such as an advance-purchase offer. If no ticket-level value is set, the product-wide cut-off applies.

TicketingHub does not provide an Early Bird preset. See early-bird, seasonal, and group pricing for supported setup options.

After saving, check a future event in the customer booking widget. If availability is still missing, use the ordered availability checklist.
