How to create availability using seasons
Seasons define a recurring schedule for a product over a date range. Use them for year-round opening times, summer and winter schedules, or other repeating periods.
Create a season
- Open the product and go to Availability.
- Select New Season.
- Enter a clear name.
- Set Starts On.
- If the schedule should stop on a particular date, select Set end date and enter it.
- Select Create Season.
Add times and capacity
- In Times and Capacity, select Add Capacity.
- Enter the event time and maximum capacity.
- Select Save Option.
- A new time initially applies to every weekday. Remove the weekdays when that departure does not run.
- Repeat for each time you operate.
Return to the sidebar Availability calendar to check several dates. The sidebar calendar shows the schedule currently in effect; Product → Availability is where you edit seasons and exceptions.
Times and capacities use their own save controls. Use Update Season only when changing the season’s name or date range.
Understand overlapping seasons
If regular seasons overlap on a date, TicketingHub uses the season with the latest Starts On date. Set start and end dates carefully so the intended schedule wins.
For example, an open-ended All Year season starting 1 January can remain in place while a Summer season starts 1 June and ends 31 August. During that overlap, the later 1 June start takes priority. After the summer season ends, the all-year season applies again.
Use exceptions for one-off changes
An exception replaces the season schedule on a specific date and always takes priority over every season. Use one to close a day, change times, or adjust capacity without editing the recurring schedule.
- Go to Product → Availability.
- Select New Exception and choose the date.
- Clone the times currently active if you want the normal schedule as a starting point, or leave it blank to build a different day.
- Make the changes and save.
See how to close time slots and days for closure examples. If the expected schedule is missing, use the ordered availability checklist.
