How to Notify Customers via SMS or Email

Ever had a last-minute schedule change and needed to let your guests know as soon as possible? Want to build excitement for an upcoming adventure by reminding guests what to bring? Or perhaps you’ve just finished an amazing tour and want to gather those all-important reviews? Whatever the reason, keeping your guests informed is key to providing a seamless experience.

With TicketingHub, notifying customers is easy — whether via SMS or email. In just a few clicks, you can send timely updates, friendly reminders or even a prompt to leave a review. Here’s how to do it.

Steps to Notify Customers via SMS or Email

Before sending SMS messages, connect and activate your Vonage account. Existing suppliers who still use TicketingHub’s shared SMS account can continue to do so until they activate their own account. Recipients in the US and Canada require a registered toll-free number on the sending account.

Step 1: Find the Bookings You Want to Notify

You can locate bookings through either the Availability or Orders page.

Option 1: Using the Availability Page

  1. Go to Availability
  2. Click on the Date and Time of the booking
  3. Click on Manifest – here, you’ll see all the guests booked for this tour schedule.
  4. Click on Broadcast Message to start sending a notification.

Option 2: Using the Orders Page

  1. Go to Orders
  2. Use the Filter by option to locate specific bookings.

For example: If you want to notify customers from a specific product, click Product, select the product and then click Search Bookings.

  1. A list of bookings matching your filter will appear.
  2. Click on Broadcast to send a message to the selected customers.

Step 2: Customise and Send Your Message

Once you’ve selected the bookings, follow these steps to edit and send your notification:

  1. Choose your delivery method: SMS or Email.
  2. If sending an email: Edit the Email Subject.
  3. Compose your message:
    • Type your message in the text box.
    • If you’re requesting a customer review, click on Copy Review Link and paste it into your message. Customers can click this link to leave a review.
  4. Review your message:
    • Double-check the Email Subject (if sending an email).
    • Ensure the message content is correct.
  5. Click Send Message to broadcast your notification to all selected bookings.
