How to Use PIN Login in TicketingHub POS
PIN login gives each team member a quick way to sign in to TicketingHub POS while keeping sales and scans linked to the correct user.
Enable PIN Login
An administrator or manager must enable the feature in the TicketingHub dashboard:
- Go to Settings → POS Settings.
- Under Allow users to login with a PIN code, select Enabled.
- Select Update.
PIN login is available to active administrators, managers, and users with Point of Sale access. Manage user access under Settings → Users.
Create Your PIN
Each user creates their own PIN in TicketingHub POS:
- Sign in to POS with your email address and password.
- When prompted, enter a four-digit PIN.
- Enter the same PIN again to confirm it.
Choose a PIN that is easy for you to remember but difficult for someone else to guess. Repeated or sequential PINs such as 1111 or 1234 are not accepted.
Sign In with a PIN
- Open POS and select your name.
- Enter your four-digit PIN.
Select Not you? to return to the user list, or Login with password when you need to use your email address and password.
If You Forgot Your PIN
- Select your name on the PIN login screen.
- Select Forgot PIN? and confirm the reset.
- Sign in with your email address and password.
- Create and confirm a new four-digit PIN when prompted.
Only the user who requested the reset can complete it.
If Your PIN Is Locked
After several wrong PINs in a row, PIN login is paused for your user, and POS asks you to log in with your email address and password instead. PIN login comes back on its own after a while, or straight away once you create a new PIN using Forgot PIN?.
Too many wrong passwords pause password login in the same way. Wait a while and try again, or reset your password with Forgotten your password? on the dashboard login page.
Change Your PIN
While signed in to POS:
- Open Settings.
- Select Change PIN Code.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Enter and confirm your new four-digit PIN.
If Change PIN Code is not shown, ask an administrator or manager to confirm that PIN login is enabled and that your user has Point of Sale access.
