How to Connect TicketingHub to Viator

Connect TicketingHub to Viator through the Viator Supplier Management Center. Once connected and mapped, availability and pricing stay in sync, and Viator bookings flow into TicketingHub automatically.

Before you start

  • Have an active Viator supplier account with live products.
  • Set up the matching products, ticket categories, availability, and pricing in TicketingHub.
  • Confirm Viator is set up as a wholesale reseller in TicketingHub with Online Travel Agent (OTA) set to Viator. Viator is pre-configured for most accounts — see How to Create a Reseller if you need to check or add it.
  • Create the Viator channel and API credentials in TicketingHub (below). Viator’s technical team needs these to complete the connection; a reseller on its own is not enough.

Create your Viator API credentials

Viator connects to your TicketingHub account through a channel. Each supplier account that you connect needs its own channel and credentials.

  1. In the TicketingHub dashboard, go to Widgets → Channels and click New Channel.
  2. Name the channel Viator and add every product Viator is allowed to sell, then save it.
  3. Click Credentials on the channel, select your Viator reseller, and click Create Credentials.
  4. Copy the Channel ID and Access Token shown. These are your Viator API keys.
  5. Send them to Viator’s technical team when they request them, either through the connectivity request in the Supplier Management Center or by replying to their email. Treat the Access Token like a password: send it privately, never in a public chat or ticket.

To view the credentials again later, open the channel and click Credentials. Creating new credentials does not remove existing ones.

Steps to connect your account

1. Log in to Viator

Open your Viator Supplier Management Center and click your account name in the top right.

2. Open Connectivity

Go to Account, select the Connectivity tab, then click Connect Now.

3. Select TicketingHub

Choose TicketingHub as your booking or reservation management system from the list and submit the request.

4. Await approval

Allow 2–3 business days for the connection request to process and validate. Your TicketingHub and Viator accounts are linked once the request is approved.

Map your products

After the account connection is approved, map your live products and ticket categories between Viator and TicketingHub so availability and pricing can sync.

  1. In the Viator Supplier Management Center, go to Products → Manage → Product connection → Connect.
  2. Match each Viator product with the corresponding product in TicketingHub.
  3. Map ticket categories (for example Adult and Child) so guest types align on both platforms.
  4. Review pricing and schedules in TicketingHub before you go live, so Viator receives up-to-date data.

Viator products connected to TicketingHub must use start times, and each start time must be mapped to a TicketingHub departure time. A booking that Viator sends without a departure time is rejected and does not reach TicketingHub, so the customer is not on any manifest.

If you later need to connect more products, return to Product connection and repeat the mapping steps.

After you connect

  • Keep availability and pricing current in TicketingHub — connected Viator products update from there.
  • Verify the integration with a test booking. See How to Verify Your OTA Integration.
  • For a broader overview of reseller and OTA setup in TicketingHub, see How to Connect to OTAs.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need technical knowledge to connect?

No. The TicketingHub–Viator API integration is already built. You create the Viator channel credentials in TicketingHub, request the connection in Viator, and map products once it is approved.

Viator’s technical team asked us for API keys. Where do I find them?

They mean the Channel ID and Access Token of your Viator channel. Follow Create your Viator API credentials above; if the channel already exists, open it and click Credentials. If you run several supplier accounts, each one needs its own channel and credentials.

How long does the initial connection take?

Viator typically processes the connectivity request within 2–3 business days.

What if my Viator account is already connected but products are not mapped?

Skip the Connect Now request. Go to Products → Manage → Product connection → Connect and map the products you want to sync.

Where can I read Viator’s own guidance?

See Viator’s Connect to Viator through API operator resource.
