How to Set Up Packages in TicketingHub

Bundle two or more products into a single bookable experience — per-tier pricing, one checkout, and separate time selection for each activity.

In TicketingHub, a Package combines two or more products that customers book together as a bundle. They select quantities once, choose a timeslot for each activity separately, and pay the package price. Packages appear alongside your individual products as one bookable option — online in the widget, and in person through the TicketingHub POS app.

Supported combinations

  • Ticket + Ticket (recommended — full availability checking on both)
  • Ticket + Voucher (open-dated voucher issued for Product B)

Common use cases

  • Zoo entry (all-day) + Guided zoo experience (timed slot)
  • Aquarium visit + Underwater Cruise (with buffer time between)
  • Walking tour + Basilica visit (multi-day booking window)

Note: Both products must belong to the same supplier account. Cross-account packages are not supported.

Create Your Package

Packages are found in the bottom left of your TicketingHub dashboard navigation.

  1. Click Packages → New Package
  2. Select your products — at least two, with Product A appearing first in the customer booking flow
  3. Set your package pricing per ticket tier (e.g. Adult, Child) — each tier’s package price is built from the constituent products’ tiers
  4. Set the maximum timespan across bookings — the longest duration allowed between the first and last activity in the package
  5. Set the minimum gap between bookings — the buffer required between activities (e.g. 1 hour 20 minutes)

Tip: Product A must always be a ticket, not a voucher. Voucher-first packages are not supported.

Understand the Booking Flow

Here is exactly what your customer experiences in the widget:

  1. Select quantities — Adult, Child, etc. entered once for both products
  2. Choose date and time for Product A
  3. Choose date and time for Product B — within your configured minimum gap and maximum timespan
  4. Proceed to checkout — single payment covering the full package price

The package appears as one bookable option in your widget alongside your individual products.

Add Your Package to a Widget

Once created, your package is available to add to any widget like a regular product. Go to your widget product list, add the package, and publish — no special configuration needed.

Note: A package ticket tier is only shown in the widget when the matching ticket on every product in the package has the For widget sales advanced option ticked.

Sell Your Package on the POS

Packages can also be sold face-to-face through the TicketingHub POS app. Unlike products, packages are not offered on the POS until you select them:

  1. In your dashboard, go to Settings → POS Settings
  2. Select the packages you want to offer on the POS and save
  3. In the POS app, each selected package now appears in the item list alongside your products

The POS booking flow mirrors the widget:

  1. Select the package from the item list
  2. Enter quantities once per ticket tier — they apply to every activity in the package
  3. Pick a date and time for each activity on a single screen, within your configured minimum gap and maximum timespan — activities issued as open-dated vouchers don’t need a time
  4. Answer any booking questions for each activity, where configured
  5. The package is added to the basket as a single item showing each activity with its tickets and the package total

Rates and coupons can be applied to each activity from the basket, and payment and printing work as for any other sale. Removing the package from the basket removes all of its activities together.

Note: A package ticket tier is only shown on the POS when the matching ticket on every product in the package has the For mobile POS advanced option ticked.

Common Mistakes

Mistake 1: Trying to bundle products from different supplier accounts

Both products must live in the same supplier account. If you manage multiple accounts, the products need to be under the same one to be packaged together.

Mistake 2: Setting a voucher as Product A

The booking flow always runs tickets first. If your combination is Ticket + Voucher, the ticket must be Product A. Reversing this is not supported.

Mistake 3: Not setting a buffer time

Without a buffer, customers can schedule both activities back-to-back with no gap. Set a realistic buffer (e.g. 90 minutes) to prevent operational conflicts at your venue.

Mistake 4: Confusion between Ticket + Ticket and Ticket + Voucher

TypeWhat Product B issuesAvailability checked?
Ticket + TicketIndividual timed ticketYes — full checking
Ticket + VoucherOpen-dated voucherNo — bypasses availability

Use Ticket + Ticket wherever possible for tighter control over capacity.

Mistake 5: Expecting one confirmation email per package

The system currently sends one email per product — a 2-product package generates 2 confirmation emails for the customer. This is a known limitation under development.

Best Practices

  • Test end-to-end before going live — verify date pickers work correctly for both products in your widget
  • Use descriptive product names — customers see both product names during the booking flow; make each step clear
  • Keep Extras simple on packaged products — Extra assignment within packages is not yet fully defined; test thoroughly or disable Extras on packaged products until resolved
  • Set realistic buffer times — account for travel, queue, and handover time between activities

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Package in TicketingHub?

A Package bundles two products into one booking — customers select quantities once, choose timeslots for each activity, and pay a single combined price.

Can I sell packages through the POS?

Yes — select the packages you want to offer in Settings → POS Settings and they appear in the POS item list alongside your products, with the same quantities-once, time-per-activity booking flow as the widget.

Can I bundle more than two products in a package?

Yes — a package requires at least two products and can contain more. There is no maximum.

What happens if one of the products in the package becomes unavailable?

For Ticket + Ticket packages, the system checks availability for both products. If either has no availability, the package cannot be booked for that date.

Can I set different prices for different ticket tiers in a package?

Yes — package pricing is defined per ticket tier (e.g. Adult, Child), built from the constituent products’ tiers. Each tier has its own package price.

Does the package appear on reports separately from individual product bookings?

Yes — package bookings appear as their own line items in reports, separate from standalone product bookings.
