How to Verify Your OTA Integration with TicketingHub (Viator, GetYourGuide & Airbnb)

How to Verify Your OTA Integration with TicketingHub (Viator, GetYourGuide & Airbnb)

To check if your OTA is connected to TicketingHub, make a test booking on the OTA platform and look for a *pending booking with the reseller assigned* in your TicketingHub Orders dashboard. The entire check takes under 2 minutes.

*Quick Answer*
Go to your OTA product page → start a booking until data capture → open TicketingHub Orders → filter by *Pending* → if you see the booking with a reseller name assigned (e.g. Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb) — *you're connected*. ✅

Why Verify Your OTA Connection?

After completing the OTA setup in TicketingHub, it's worth running a quick test to confirm that bookings are flowing through correctly before you go live. This simple 3-step check works for all major OTA integrations — including *Viator*, *GetYourGuide*, and *Airbnb Experiences*.

Step 1: Make a Test Booking on Your OTA

Navigate to your product page on the OTA as if you were a customer and go through the booking flow:

  1. Select a *date*
  2. Select a *time*
  3. Select the *number of people*
  4. Continue until you reach the *data capture step* (where passenger details are entered)

⚠️ *You don't need to complete the booking.* Reaching the data capture step is enough to generate a pending booking in TicketingHub. You can stop there and close the OTA page.

Step 2: Find the Pending Booking in TicketingHub

  1. Log in to your account at *ticketinghub.com*
  2. Click *Orders* in the navigation menu
  3. By default, orders are filtered to show *Confirmed* bookings
  4. *Uncheck Confirmed* and select *Pending* instead
  5. The most recent booking will appear at the *top of the list*

Step 3: Confirm the OTA Is Connected

Check the pending booking that appears. You should see:

  • The correct *date, time, and party size* you selected on the OTA
  • The *reseller name assigned* to the booking (e.g. Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb)

*If the reseller name appears on the pending booking — your OTA integration is live and working correctly.*

Troubleshooting: No Pending Booking Appearing?

If no pending booking shows up after a couple of minutes, try the following:

  • *Check how far you got* in the OTA flow — you must reach the data capture step, not just browse the listing
  • *Confirm the OTA channel is enabled* in your TicketingHub channel settings — check your channel manager settings
  • *Wait 2–3 minutes* — some OTAs have a short delay before syncing
  • *Contact TicketingHub support* if the booking still doesn't appear after following the steps above

Frequently Asked Questions

*How do I know if my Viator integration is working?*

Make a test booking on your Viator product page up to the data capture step. Then go to TicketingHub → Orders → filter by Pending. If you see a pending booking with Viator listed as the reseller, your integration is working correctly.

*Why is my OTA booking not showing in TicketingHub?*

The most common reasons are: you didn't reach the data capture step during the test booking, the OTA channel is not enabled in your TicketingHub settings, or there is a short sync delay. Wait 2–3 minutes and check again. If it still doesn't appear, contact TicketingHub support.

*Do I need to complete the booking to test the OTA connection?*

No. You only need to proceed through the OTA booking flow until the data capture step (where passenger details are requested). You don't need to enter payment details or confirm the booking.

*What does a pending booking mean in TicketingHub?*

A pending booking is an in-progress reservation that has been initiated but not yet confirmed. When testing your OTA connection, the test booking will appear as pending in TicketingHub. You can safely delete it after verifying the connection.

*Which OTAs can I test this way?*

This method works for all OTA integrations supported by TicketingHub, including Viator, GetYourGuide, and Airbnb Experiences.

*Where do I find the Pending filter in TicketingHub Orders?*

Go to Orders in your TicketingHub dashboard. The default view shows Confirmed orders. Uncheck the Confirmed filter and select Pending to see in-progress bookings.

This process works for all major OTA integrations supported by TicketingHub, including Viator, GetYourGuide, and Airbnb Experiences. For setup instructions, see How to connect your OTA to TicketingHub.
