How to Set Up Packages in TicketingHub
Bundle two products into a single bookable experience — one price, one checkout, and separate time selection for each activity.
In TicketingHub, a Package combines two products that customers book together as a bundle. They select quantities once, choose a timeslot for each activity separately, and pay a single package price. Packages appear alongside your individual products in the widget as one bookable option.
Supported combinations:
- Ticket + Ticket (recommended — full availability checking on both)
- Ticket + Voucher (open-dated voucher issued for Product B)
Common use cases:
- Zoo entry (all-day) + Guided zoo experience (timed slot)
- Aquarium visit + Underwater Cruise (with buffer time between)
- Walking tour + Basilica visit (multi-day booking window)
⚠️ Both products must belong to the same supplier account. Cross-account packages are not supported.
Steps |
|---|
Create Your Package
Packages are found in the bottom left of your TicketingHub dashboard navigation.
- Click Packages → Create Package
- Select your two products — Product A appears first in the customer booking flow
- Set your fixed package price (replaces individual product pricing)
- Configure your buffer time — the minimum gap required between the two activities (e.g. 1 hour 20 minutes)
- Choose your scheduling window:
Option | What it means |
|---|---|
Same-day only | Both activities must be booked on the same date |
Multi-day window | Customer can book Product B within a set number of days of Product A |
💡 Product A must always be a ticket, not a voucher. Voucher-first packages are not supported.
Understand the Booking Flow
Here is exactly what your customer experiences in the widget:
- Select quantities — Adult, Child, etc. entered once for both products
- Choose date and time for Product A
- Choose date and time for Product B — within your configured buffer and scheduling window
- Proceed to checkout — single payment covering the full package price
The package appears as one bookable option in your widget alongside your individual products.
Add Your Package to a Widget
Once created, your package is available to add to any widget like a regular product. Go to your widget product list, add the package, and publish — no special configuration needed.
Common Mistakes
Mistake 1: Trying to bundle products from different supplier accounts
Both products must live in the same supplier account. If you manage multiple accounts, the products need to be under the same one to be packaged together.
Mistake 2: Setting a voucher as Product A
The booking flow always runs tickets first. If your combination is Ticket + Voucher, the ticket must be Product A. Reversing this is not supported.
Mistake 3: Not setting a buffer time
Without a buffer, customers can schedule both activities back-to-back with no gap. Set a realistic buffer (e.g. 90 minutes) to prevent operational conflicts at your venue.
Mistake 4: Confusion between Ticket + Ticket and Ticket + Voucher
Type | What Product B issues | Availability checked? |
|---|---|---|
Ticket + Ticket | Individual timed ticket | ✅ Yes — full checking |
Ticket + Voucher | Open-dated voucher | ❌ No — bypasses availability |
Use Ticket + Ticket wherever possible for tighter control over capacity.
Mistake 5: Expecting one confirmation email per package
The system currently sends one email per product — a 2-product package generates 2 confirmation emails for the customer. This is a known limitation under development.
Best Practices
- Test end-to-end before going live — verify date pickers work correctly for both products in your widget
- Use descriptive product names — customers see both product names during the booking flow; make each step clear
- Keep Extras simple on packaged products — Extra assignment within packages is not yet fully defined; test thoroughly or disable Extras on packaged products until resolved
- Set realistic buffer times — account for travel, queue, and handover time between activities
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Package in TicketingHub?
A Package bundles two products into one booking — customers select quantities once, choose timeslots for each activity, and pay a single combined price.
Can I bundle more than two products in a package?
No — packages currently support exactly two products. For more complex bundles, contact support to discuss your use case.
What happens if one of the products in the package becomes unavailable?
For Ticket + Ticket packages, the system checks availability for both products. If either has no availability, the package cannot be booked for that date.
Can I set different prices for different ticket tiers in a package?
The package uses a single fixed price set at the package level, not per ticket tier. Individual pricing by tier is not currently supported within packages.
Does the package appear on reports separately from individual product bookings?
Yes — package bookings appear as their own line items in reports, separate from standalone product bookings.
