Ever found yourself staring at a voucher, wondering "Okay… now what?" Whether you're a tour guide, ticket agent, or someone who's just trying to help a guest book their experience without breaking a sweat, this one's for you.

In this quick and friendly guide, we’ll walk you through how to redeem vouchers using TicketingHub. We’ll show you two ways: redeeming from the backend as an operator, and how customers can redeem their vouchers themselves. Handy during busy tour days, last-minute bookings, or when someone waves a QR code in your face and says, “Help!”

P.S. We've also included a tip for handling expired vouchers!

Now, let’s get you from “uhh” to “aha!” in no time.

How to Redeem a Voucher
Option 1: Processing via the Backend (Operator View)
Option 2: When a Customer Uses Their Voucher

Steps to Redeem a Voucher

Option 1: Processing via the Backend (Operator View)

If you're managing bookings, here’s how to process a voucher like a pro:

Head to the Orders tab

This is where you’ll find all voucher bookings.

Look for the voucher

Use the Filter by and check the Voucher Booking

From the dropdown, select “is voucher”

You’ll see orders marked with a blue V.

Click on the OR number to open the booking.

Click on Redeem beside the booking

Uncheck the Voucher Booking box.

Select the booking date and time.

Click Update Booking to apply changes.

Send the updated booking confirmation

Hit Actions at the top-right corner.

Click on Resend Booking Confirmation.

Note: The customer will receive a confirmation email instantly.

🕑 What if the voucher has expired?

If you find that the voucher has expired, don't worry!

In the Order Page, click Edit beside the booking.

Update the Expiry Date to a future date.

Click Update Booking to save your changes and proceed with redeeming the voucher as usual.

Option 2: When a Customer Uses Their Voucher

Let your guests take charge and redeem their own vouchers with ease. Here’s how:

Locate the Voucher Code

Each voucher includes a unique code—this is the guest’s ticket to booking.

To see it on your end, click on the BK Number of an order.

You’ll find the code listed under Token.

Open the Widget

Let the customer head to your website or wherever the booking widget is embedded.

If multiple products are listed, have them choose the correct one.

Enter the Voucher Code

The customer types or pastes the code into the widget.

This will reveal how many available tickets are tied to the voucher.

Choose the date and time

Just like a regular booking, guests can now pick their preferred slot.

Confirm the booking

Once confirmed, the guest will receive a confirmation email automatically.

All Booked and Voucher-ed Up!

See? Redeeming a voucher doesn’t have to feel like cracking a secret code. Whether you're doing it yourself on the backend or guiding a customer through the process, TicketingHub keeps things refreshingly straightforward. Now go forth and redeem with confidence!

And hey, if you’re ever stuck or just wanna say hi—don’t be a stranger. We’re here for you.
